How does Microdermabrasion work?
BeautiwithDiane, Inc. uses the diamond microdermabrasion system. The diamond tip gently removes the top layer of the skin, which is composed of dead skin cells. This stimulates skin rejuvenation through increased circulation, and by promoting collagen production. The result is new cell growth and glowing skin. There is no irritation or down time after the treatment. Together with the serums and skin care products that BeautiwithDiane, Inc. uses to nourish the skin, this microdermabrasion system helps to achieve younger-looking, healthy skin and restore balance. What is an Ultrasound facial?
The ultrasound facial is a non-surgical skin-tightening procedure used alone or in conjunction with a chemical peel or diamond microdermabrasion. Ultrasound facials lift the muscles, promote collagen production and help the skin absorb the serums and skin care products that BeautiwithDiane applies. The ultrasound facial allows deeper penetration of healthy, skin-rejuvenation serums such as vitamin C, so it is absorbed deep into the skin. The ultrasound facial combined with the facial steamer is used for extractions and to clear up acne. What can I expect from a Chemical Peel treatment?
As a licensed PCA Chemical Peel salon, BeautiwithDiane Inc. provides a customized, professional chemical peel treatment that penetrates the outer layer of the skin (the stratum corneum) to nourish the underlying epidermis and dermis. The chemical peel uses highly-effective products and serums that deliver healthy, beautiful skin. The peel eliminates skin issues by fighting free radicals and inflamation, increasing cell turnover and collagen production. Combined with a customized daily care regimen, the chemical peel nourishes the skin, keeping it healthy and glowing and provides overall skin wellness with visible dramatic results. While there is little to no downtime with the chemical peel, treatments may cause slight redness, tightness, peeling, flaking or temporary dryness. It is advised, that clients wait 15 minutes after the peel is complete, before applying makeup. For two-days post procedure, clients should stay away from activities that would case excessive perspiration. Clients are advised to stay cool, stay out of the sun and are not to use hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas or put a hot shower spray or heated blow dryer directly on the treated area(s). We also recommend no swimming and not to do any mechanical exfoliation to the treated area(s).BioMedic-MicroPeel (The Lunchtime peel):
For the past decade, BioMedicSkinCeuticals has led the way in developing state-of-the-art therapeutic skincare treatments that can correct the damage associated with the aging process. The results give you smooth and youthful looking skin. BioMedic MicroPeel is a safe and effective procedure and BeautiwithDiane Salon is a certified BioMedic-Micro Peel spa.The MircoPeel is an in-salon procedure that requires little or no recovery time. Years of environmental exposure and skin conditions, such as acne can damage the skin, obscuring clarity, tone, color and texture.
Is the Biomedic Micropeel right for my skin?
At the time of your consultation, the skin care specialist will determine which acid is best for you based on your skin type. For sensitive skin, an acid-free or 2% lactic acid MircoPeel is recommended. For a more rapid exfoliation, the MicroPeel with glycolic acid at concentrations of either 30% or 50% is recommended. What are lactic, glycolic and salicylic acids?
Lactic and glycolic acids are naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids found in fruits and other foods. These acids are used in formulations to exfoliate and shed the surface skin. The extent of exfoliation depends on the type and concentration of the acids. At high concentrations, acids function as peeling agents, which act more rapidly, and at a deeper level. Salicylic acid may be used to treat cystic acne. What happens during the Biomedic Micropeel?
First, dead cellular layers are removed by dermaplaning. A change in skin texture can be felt right away. Second, an alpha hydroxy acid solution is applied to the skin. A slight stinging sensation may occur but it is only momentary. After the desired level of exfoliation is reached, the solution is neutralized. This optional step of the MicroPeel helps free pores of impacted debris. Third, is a skin freezing process call Cryogenic Therapy. Carbon dioxide is applied to the face in light, circular motions. The frosty mist released by the carbon dioxide immediately relieves inflammation and cools the skin. Will I experience any downtime after the Biomedic Micropeel? There is usually no downtime associated with the MicroPeel. It is often referred to as “the lunchtime peel”. You may experience minor peeling in the days following the procedure.
